Kaynaşlı is a city and a district in the Turkish province of Düzce . The place is about 15 kilometers southeast of the provincial capital Düzce and is home to almost 46 percent of the district's population .

The district is located in the southeast of the province. It borders on the central district to the west, Yığılca to the northeast and Bolu Province to the south . The city and the district crosses the D100 trunk road from west to east , which leads from Edirne via Istanbul to Erzurum and the Iranian border. In parallel, the European route 80 runs a little further north , which takes a similar route. In the east both cross the mountain Bolu Dağı , the D-100 over the 945 meter high pass Boludağı Geçidi with numerous viaducts.

The district was founded in 1999 and comprises, in addition to the administrative center ( Merkez ), 20 villages ( Köy ) with an average of 562 inhabitants. Üçköprü (2,314) and Dariyerİhasanbey (1,963 inhabitants) are the largest villages.
