Beginnings and successes in Ireland

In 2002 he moved back to Ireland and only played in the Bray Wanderers U-21 team . There he could quickly attract attention and so he made his debut for the Wanderers in the League of Ireland on October 18, 2002 . In February 2004, Zayed was loaned to Crewe Alexandra . But he did not play a competitive game with the English and moved back in May of the same year. In October 2004, he became the first Bray Wanderers player to score four goals in a game.

In August 2005 he was loaned again and played for the Norwegian club Aalesunds FK . There he was used in a game.

For the 2006 season he signed a one and a half year contract with Drogheda United . He scored a goal in his first game on July 7th. A short time later, he also scored in the UEFA Europa League . With the team he was champion and top scorer in the 2007 season. At the end of the 2008 season, Drogheda had financial problems and the contract with Zayed was terminated.

After a trial session with the Korean first division club Incheon United , he moved to the Irish club Sporting Fingal in early 2009 . In the following two years he scored 24 goals in 40 games.

After a transfer to the Libyan first division club Al-Ahli SC failed, he signed a one-year contract with Derry City . With 26 goals he was the team's top scorer in the 2011 season and was named Ireland's Footballer of the Year .

Change to Iran

On December 23, 2011, he went to Persepolis Tehran , who played in the Persian Gulf Pro League . In his second game, on February 2, 2012, he scored three goals. He was substituted on in the second half of the game against Esteghlal Tehran . Persepolis were 2-0 down and only had ten players on the field. He was also able to achieve a hat trick in the AFC Champions League on March 21, 2012. He repeated this on May 6, 2012. So he got the nickname "Mr. hat-trick ". Due to his great popularity with fans and his performance, his contract was extended until the end of the 2012/2013 season. However, this contract was terminated on November 24, 2012 by mutual agreement.

On January 11, 2013, he signed a contract through the end of the season with Aluminum Hormozgan, who also played in the Persian Gulf Pro League.
