Éderson , with full name Éderson José dos Santos Lourenço da Silva (born July 7, 1999 in Campo Grande ) is a Brazilian football player who has been under contract with the first division club Corinthians São Paulo since February 2020 .

Club career

Born in Campo Grande , Éderson began his professional career at Desportivo Brasil , a club from São Paulo . On July 15, 2018, he was loaned to the first division club Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte for one year . The Celeste also secured an optional purchase option for the defensive midfielder . At first just a candidate for the U19, head coach Mano Menezes appointed him to the first team after a short time. On September 6 (23rd matchday) he made his debut in the Série A when he was substituted on for Thiago Neves in the 75th minute of the 1-1 draw against Botafogo FR . By the end of the 2018 season , he was used in another four league games.

After he only played sporadically in the beginning of the next game year 2019 , he made his breakthrough as a regular player in September 2019. On October 20 (27th matchday) he scored his first goal for his club in a 2-1 away win against the Corinthians São Paulo . That season he appeared in 21 league games in which he scored two goals. After the club's relegation, he terminated his contract with Cruzeiro, which ran until July 2023, in February 2020.

In February, Corinthians São Paulo announced his engagement . In order to make the obligation possible, Éderson withdrew his lawsuit in the labor court against Cruzeiro for outstanding salary payments of around 600,000 euros.
