Guilherme de Aguiar Camacho , also called Guilherme Camacho , (born March 2, 1990 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a Brazilian soccer player . He is used in the position of a central midfielder .

Career

Camacho started, among other things, in the youth division of Flamengo Rio de Janeiro . Here he made the leap into the professional squad in 2008, but was initially loaned to the Paraná Clube . With the club he played four games in the B series .

For the 2009 season, Camacho returned to FLA . Here he did not come to his first appearances in the Série A , but contributed with his nine games in the 2009 championship to the fifth championship title of the club. At the international club level too, Camacho made his debut that year. After playing for FLA in the national championship of Rio de Janeiro in 2010 and the championship in 2010 , Camacho was loaned out to league rivals Goiás EC in September . After the season ended, Camacho did not return to FLA . In December, his loan for 2011 to EC Bahia was announced.

After returning to the 2012 season, he stayed with FLA for the year , but did not get beyond the role of a reserve player. In March 2013 Camacho was loaned to the Audax Rio de Janeiro . In 2014 Camacho also played no role in his home club. For him, the next loan deal followed, he came to Audax (SP) . After the games in the national championships in 2014, Camacho moved permanently to Guaratinguetá Futebol . With this came the rest of the year in the Série C on.

For the 2015 season, Camacho moved back to Gremio Osasco Audax and played the national championship with him. To host the championship round, he was then loaned to the Botafogo FR . The club achieved promotion to the Série A at the end of the season in Série B as champions. In the course of winning the title, Camacho was on the field 17 times (no goal), ten of them in the starting line-up. To host the state championships in 2016, Camacho again competed for Audax (SP). In May of that year, his move to Corinthians São Paulo was published. The contract had a term of three years. In his first championship in 2016 , Camachao was initially only a reserve player, but won a regular place in the team from the 23rd match day. In the season his starting eleven again less. He came in the championship to 27 of 38 possible appearances, but only nine of them in the starting line-up. Although he didn't score at his games, he has something to celebrate with the seventh championship for Corinthians at the end of the season. In January 2018 Camacho extended his contract with Corinthians.

Camacho started the 2018 season for Corinthians, but could no longer compete with the club in the 2018 Copa Libertadores . He was loaned to Athletico Paranaense in late February . Camacho competed with Athletico in the Copa Sudamericana 2018 . In the competition he only played the first two games in the first round against Newell's Old Boys from Argentina . On December 12th, the club and Camacho celebrated their first win in this competition. At the end of January 2019, the loan with Athlético was extended until the end of the year. On May 15, 2019, Athletico had to announce that Camacho had tested positive for higenamine . The substance is said to help with weight loss and muscle building. It was banned by WADA in early 2017 . The club admitted that Camacho was administered through a dietary supplement specialist by a club professional and that the player was innocent. Nevertheless, this was suspended from the game by the club in accordance with FIFA rules. Athletico promised Corinthians damages. The player Thiago Heleno was also affected by the incident. On August 12, 2019, the players' case was heard by CONMEBOL . The association banned both players for six months. On October 27, 2019, Camacho was on the pitch for Athletico for the first time. Due to the suspension, he missed participation in Athletico's first title win in the Copa do Brasil 2019.
