Étrez is a village and a former French community with 811 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Ain in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belonged to the canton of Attignat (until 2015: canton of Montrevel-en-Bresse ) in the arrondissement of Bourg-en-Bresse .

With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Cras-sur-Reyssouze and Étrez were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Bresse Vallons and have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Cras-sur-Reysouze.

geography

Étrez is located about 14 kilometers north-northwest of Bourg-en-Bresse and about 27 kilometers east-northeast of the city of Mâcon . Étrez is surrounded by the villages of Foissiat in the north, Marboz in the east, Cras-sur-Reyssouze in the south and Malafretaz in the west.
