Ömer Karş (born April 24, 1997 ) is a Turkish ice hockey player who is currently under contract with Erzurum Büyükşehir Belediyesi SK in the second Turkish division. His brother Yusuf is also a Turkish international.

Career

Ömer Karş began his career as an ice hockey player with Erzurum Büyükşehir Belediyesi SK , for whom he made his debut in the Turkish Super League in the 2012/13 season at the age of 15 . Since relegation from the Super League in 2014, he has been playing with the club from Eastern Anatolia in the second Turkish ice hockey league .

International

For Turkey, Karş took part in the junior division in Division III at the U18 World Championships in 2013 , 2014 and 2015 and the U20 World Championships in 2015 , 2016 and 2017 , when he was voted the best player on his team.

With the men's national team , he played at the World Championships Division III in 2016 , when the Turks were promoted to Division II, and in 2018 . At the 2017 World Cup , he played in Division II.
