Yusuf Karş (born October 15, 1998 ) is a Turkish ice hockey player who has been under contract with Erzurum Büyükşehir Belediyesi SK in the Turkish Super League since 2017 . His brother Ömer is also a Turkish international.

Career

Yusuf Karş began his career as an ice hockey player with Erzurum Büyükşehir Belediyesi SK from Eastern Anatolia , for whom he made his debut in the second Turkish ice hockey league in 2014. He spent the 2016/17 season at Zeytinburnu Belediye SK in the Turkish Super League . Since 2017 he has been playing again for his home club, with which he now also plays in the super league.

International

For Turkey, Karş took part in the junior division III in the U18 World Championships in 2015 and 2016 and the U20 World Championships in 2015 , 2016 and 2017 , when he was voted the best defender of the tournament. At the U20 World Cup in 2018 he played with the team from the Bosporus in Division II and, together with the Spaniard Joan Serda, was the second best goal setter behind the Serb Mirko Đumić .

With the men's national team , he played at the World Championships Division III in 2016 , when the Turks were promoted to Division II, and in 2018 . At the 2017 World Cup , he played in Division II.
