Mirko Đumić ( Serbian - Cyrillic Мирко Ђумић ; born January 19, 1999 ) is a Serbian ice hockey player who has played in the International Hockey League for the KHK Red Star Belgrade since 2017 .

Career

Mirko Đumić began his career in the youth division of MAC Budapest , for whose junior teams he has since played in various Hungarian and Austrian youth leagues. Most recently he played with the Hungarian capital club in the Austrian Erste Bank Young Stars League . In 2017 he returned to Serbia and joined the KHK Red Star Belgrade , with whom he plays in the Slovenian-dominated International Hockey League .

International

In the junior division, Đumić played for Serbia at the U18 World Championships in 2014 , 2015 , 2016 and 2017 , when he was voted the best striker of the tournament, and at the U20 World Championships in 2016 , when he was the third best scorer behind Romanian Norbert Rokaly and Spaniard Oriol Rubio was, in 2017 , when he not only had the best plus / minus balance of the tournament, but also became the top scorer together with the Spaniards Oriol Rubio and Bruno Baldris and also second best preparer behind Baldris, and in 2018 when he was the best goal setter and behind his compatriot Luka Vukičević was the second best scorer of the tournament, each in Division II. At the U18 World Championships in 2016 and 2017 and the U20 World Championship in 2016, he was voted the best player in his team.

He made his debut in the Serbian men's selection at the age of 17 at the 2016 World Cup in Division II. There he also played at the 2017 and 2018 World Championships . He also represented his colors in qualifying for the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang 2018 .
