Öters is a court in the north of the Bergisch city of Wuppertal .
Location and description
The Hofschaft is located in the west of the Dönberg residential area in the Uellendahl-Katernberg district at an altitude of 196 m above sea level. NHN in the valley of the Hardenberger Bach in the Untensiebeneick district directly on the city limits of Velbert - Neviges . history
The farm was first mentioned in 1150 as Otersele . At that time it belonged to the property of Werden Abbey . After 1411 the farm was given as a fiefdom. The farm belonged to the late Middle Ages to the peasantry Below Seven Eick of Bergisch rule Hardenberg .
Öters is referred to as Örters on the Topographia Ducatus Montani by Erich Philipp Ploennies from 1715 . The place is marked on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 as Oehlers and on the Prussian first survey from 1843 as Ochters . The place bears the name Öters on measuring table sheets of the 20th century .
In the 19th century, Öters was still part of the Untensiebeneick farmers within the Hardenberg mayor's office , which was renamed Neviges in 1935 . From 1816 to 1861 it belonged to the Elberfeld district and from 1861 to the old Mettmann district . In 1888 twelve people lived in Öters in two houses.
Due to the regional reform of North Rhine-Westphalia , Neviges came to the city of Velbert at the beginning of 1975 and parts of Untersiebeneick with Öters were incorporated into Wuppertal.
