Özkan Yildirim ( Turkish Özkan Yıldırım ; born April 10, 1993 in Sulingen ) is a German football player of Turkish descent who was active at Menemenspor until July 2020 .
Career
societies
He started at TuS Sulingen in 1999 and switched to Werder Bremen's youth department in July 2003 . In Bremen, the midfielder went through various youth teams before he was promoted to the men's division for the first time. Yildirim completed his first third division game for the second team on January 29, 2011 in the away game against VfR Aalen (1: 1) when he was substituted on by coach Thomas Wolter for Onur Ayık in the 74th minute .
For the 2011/12 season Yildirim received a professional contract and was included in the squad of the Bundesliga team. After a 14-month injury break, he first completed the winter training camp in 2013 and then came on for Sebastian Prödl for the first time in the Bundesliga on January 19, 2013 in the 5-0 home defeat against Borussia Dortmund in the 54th minute . On May 22, 2013, Yildirim extended his contract with Werder Bremen for another three years until 2016.
On June 30, 2016, he signed a two-year contract with Fortuna Düsseldorf. After just one year, Yildirim left Fortuna, where he only made 15 missions due to injuries, and joined league rivals Eintracht Braunschweig .
In January 2020 he moved to Menemenspor in the 2nd Turkish league

Yildirim played for the U-16 , U-17 , U-18 , U-20 and U-21 of the German Football Association .
Personal
Yildirim was in a relationship with the soccer player Manjou Wilde , who was also under contract with SV Werder Bremen at the time .
On December 23, 2019, he married his partner Denise. The couple have one child together.
