The Úšovický potok (German Auschabach or Auschowitzer Bach , on the upper reaches of the Schneiderbach ) is a left tributary of the Kosový potok in the Czech Republic .

course

The Úšovický potok ( Schneiderbach ) rises four kilometers north of Marienbad / Mariánské Lázně in the Kaiserwald / Slavkovský les. Its source is located southeast of the Modrý kámen (852 m nm). On its upper course, which initially leads to the east, there is a bifurcation to the parallel Mnichovský potok. South of the Smraďoch ( Stinker ) bog , the Úšovický potok changes its direction near the single layer Nimrod and flows south through the Maxova údolí ( Maxthal ) with the Marienbad dam and the settlement Lunapark. Between the Žižkův vrch ( Steinhau , 749 m nm) and the Schneiderrang (756 m nm), the stream below the forest spring in Martínkův park ( Martinekpark ) reaches the town of Mariánské Lázně. There the brook flows through the Sady Václava Skalníka ( Wenceslas Skalnik Gardens ), where the Pstruží potok ( Hamilkabach ) joins the north-western foot of the Hamelika (723 m nm) from the east . Below the confluence of the Schneiderbach and Hamilkabach , the brook was formerly known as the Auschabach or Auschowitzer Bach .

The further course of the brook leads past Ferdinandův pramen ( Ferdinandsbrunn ) and Rudolfův pramen ( Rudolfsquelle ), where the Mariánské Lázně – Karlovy Vary railway bridges the brook at the Mariánské Lázně město stop, to Úšovice . There is another healing spring in the center of the village, the Antonickův pramen ( Antonius spring). On the lower reaches of the stream flows past Stanoviště through the Stanoviště game reserve and finally flows into Kosový potok after 10.5 kilometers at Vysoká Pec .
