Überasbach is a district of Morsbach in the Oberbergischer Kreis in southern North Rhine-Westphalia within the administrative district of Cologne .

Location and description

In a rural, wooded area, Überasbach is located at the southernmost tip of the Oberbergischer Kreis. The cities of Gummersbach (38 km), Siegen (35 km) and Cologne (75 km) can be reached in a few minutes by car.

Neighboring districts are Niederasbach in the north, Oberasbach in the northeast, Lichtenberg in the east, Hülstert in the south and Bettingen in the west.

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1465 , namely "Bruen and Elße van Asbach, Mettelen's children, are among the inhabitants who Berg demanded to be their own people."
