Niederasbach is a district of Morsbach in the Oberbergischer Kreis in southern North Rhine-Westphalia within the administrative district of Cologne .

Location and description

Niederasbach is located in a rural, wooded area at the southernmost tip of the Oberbergischer Kreis. The cities of Gummersbach (38 km), Siegen (35 km) and Cologne (75 km) can be reached in a few minutes by car.

Neighboring districts are Schneppenhurth in the north, Oberasbach in the east, Überasbach in the south and Bettingen in the west.

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1465 , namely "Bruen and Elße van Asbach, Mettelen's children, are among the inhabitants who Berg demanded to be their own people."
