Specialty

A stone altarpiece has stood on 50 m² near the weekend house area since the early 1930s. It was built by the miner Johann Buchen and is supposed to commemorate the lightning death of a shepherd. At the back a wooden cross towers over the superstructure of the monument. Inside the grotto-like stone house there is a white statue of Our Lady. In 2008 the Georg Stinner family undertook the complete renovation of the altar picture stock. The altar shrine is sought after by many believers as a religious landmark and an expression of deep piety.
