Volperhausen is a district of Morsbach in the Oberbergisches Kreis in southern North Rhine-Westphalia within the administrative district of Cologne .

Location and description

In a rural, wooded area, Volperhausen is located at the southernmost tip of the Oberbergischer Kreis. The cities of Gummersbach (38 km), Siegen (35 km) and Cologne (75 km) are nearby.

Neighboring districts are Katzenbach in the north, Steckelbach in the east, Volperhausen in the south and Steimelhagen in the west.

The place was mentioned for the first time in 1449 , namely “Symon v. Wolperhusen, who is later frequently attested as Vogt von Homburg, is the issuer of a bill of exchange from Else van Odenkusen and Styne van Rossenbach. "
