A fun punk band from Herne founded in 1996 by Joscha Schmottlach (musician / actor) is superfluous . The duo released several albums, singles and samplers.

history

The founding members include Mrs. B. Linddarm ( electric bass from 1996 to 2000), Arthur ( drums from 1996 to 1999) and Joscha Schmottlach, who takes care of the guitar , the vocals , the songwriting (in most cases) and the Taking care of bass recordings for the plates (since 2000). From 1999 to 2001 Samson played the drums, from 2001 to April 2015 Alex, Joscha's brother. From June 2015 to January 2018 Makke was employed as a temp on drums. NikGrau has been the drummer since January 2018 while the position on bass remained vacant. Joscha Schmottlach invented the music genre with the album "Included in your subscription" (2018): Trash-Pop-Punkrock.

Previous companions of the band were u. a. Falling carrier pigeons , Rasta prison , Dödelhaie , EL * KE , terror group , cheerful to cloudy , Rantanplan , scrap limit , The Wealth Children , The Happy , Liquido , Vanilla Ninja , Silbermond , The Mimmis , Zwakkelmann and Betontod .

Media presence

The group Superfluous has already been scrutinized on television by Tobias Schlegl , Uta Fußangel and Raffaela Jungbauer . The band has been to various breakfast and late-night shows on WDR, HR, RTL, NRW-TV and SWR. They appeared in the RTL soap opera Unter uns after recording a song with actress Olivia Klemke . Various local newspapers, punk fanzines and punk radio shows (Radio New Rose / Berlin, Kamikaze Radio or FM 77 Riot Radio) are also included. On Radio Alex (Berlin) and Dajura (Radio Jülich) songs by the band were sometimes on the listener charts for up to 4 weeks.
