The letter (lower case ⱡ) is a letter of the Latin writing system , consisting of a double crossed L. It is used in the Melpa language ( Papua New Guinea ). Lately, the letter has also been used in the Nii language (also Papua New Guinea) and replaces the role of the L ( Ƚ ) which is simply crossed out .
