(11585) Orlandelassus is an asteroid of the main belt that on 3 September 1994 by the Belgian astronomer Eric Walter Elst at the La Silla Observatory ( IAU code 809) of the European Southern Observatory in Chile was discovered.
The asteroid was named after the Flemish composer of the Renaissance Orlando di Lasso named (1532-1594), by the management of Munich Court Orchestra Albrecht V of Bavaria international fame acquired and 1570 by Emperor Maximilian II. Was raised to the hereditary nobility.
