(14836) Maxfrisch is an asteroid located in the main belt , which was discovered on February 14, 1988 by the German astronomer Freimut Börngen at the Thuringian State Observatory Tautenburg ( observatory code 033) in the Tautenburg Forest in Thuringia .
The asteroid was named on July 26, 2000 after the Swiss writer and architect Max Frisch (1911–1991), whose work revolves around the individual's relationship to himself and his environment. His plays Biedermann und die Brandstifter or Andorra as well as his three great novels Stiller , Homo faber and Mein Name sei Gantenbein depict problems of the present.
