(16046) Greg Norman is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 5 May 1999 by Australian amateur astronomer John Broughton on Reedy Creek Observatory ( IAU code 428) in Queensland in Australia was discovered.
The asteroid was named after the Australian professional golfer Greg Norman (* 1956), who topped the world rankings for 331 weeks in the 1980s and 1990s .
