(185150) Panevezys is an asteroid of the main middle belt , which was discovered by the Lithuanian astronomer Kazimieras Černis on September 23, 2006 at the Molėtai Astronomical Observatory in Molėtai , northeastern Lithuania, in the Utena district ( IAU code 152). The asteroid had already been sighted on March 17 and 23, 2004 under the provisional designation 2004 FB 74 at the Steward Observatory's remote station on Kitt Peak .
The asteroid was named after the Lithuanian city of Panevėžys on May 27, 2010 .
