(2118) Flagstaff is an asteroid of the main belt , which on January 9, 1978 by the US American astronomer Henry Lee Giclas at the Anderson Mesa Station ( IAU code 688) of the Lowell Observatory in Coconino County in Arizona was discovered.

The asteroid was named after the city of Flagstaff , which is the county seat .
