(2126) Gerasimovich ( 1970 QZ ; 1931 AQ ; 1972 EH ; 1976 GP 8 ) is an asteroid of the main inner belt discovered on August 30, 1970 by Tamara Mikhailovna Smirnova at the Crimean Observatory .
designation
The asteroid was named after Boris Petrovich Gerassimowitsch (1889–1937). From 1922 to 1931 he was a professor at the National Vasyl Karasin University of Kharkiv and from 1933 director of the Pulkovo Observatory .
