(2158) Tietjen ( 1933 OS ; 1928 SS ; 1949 QR 1 ; 1955 RL 1 ; 1959 GX ; 1961 VV ; 1976 OG 1 ) is an asteroid of the outer main belt of the on August 24, 1936 by Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth at the State Observatory Heidelberg- Königstuhl was discovered.
designation
The asteroid was named after Friedrich Tietjen (1832–1895), a professor of astronomy at the Humboldt University in Berlin . From 1874 he was director of the Astronomical Computing Institute . For many years he was the author of the series of publications Berliner Astronomisches Jahrbuch and Nautisches Jahrbuch .
