(2186) Keldysh ( 1973 SQ 4 ; 1929 TX ; 1966 DD ; 1975 EJ 2 ) is an asteroid of the central main belt that was discovered by the Russian astronomer Lyudmila Ivanovna Tschernych on September 27, 1973 at the Crimean Observatory near Nautschnyj on the Crimean peninsula ( IAU code 095) was discovered.
designation
(2186) Keldysh was named after the Soviet scientist and mathematician Mstislav Vsevolodowitsch Keldysch (1911–1978), who made important scientific contributions to aerodynamics and space travel and from 1961 to 1975 was President of the Russian Academy of Sciences .
