January 1975 by the Czech astronomer Luboš Kohoutek at the Hamburg observatory in Hamburg-Bergedorf ( IAU code 029).
designation
(2375) Radek was named by the discoverer Luboš Kohoutek after his brother Ctirad Kohoutek (1929–2011). Ctirad Kohoutek was a Czech composer and professor of music in Brno and Prague and director of the Czech Philharmonic .
