(2490) Bussolini ( 1976 AG ; 1962 WN 2 ; 1977 KK ; 1978 NT 3 ; 1978 QH ) is an asteroid about twelve kilometers in size in the central main belt , which was discovered on January 3, 1976 at the Felix Aguilar Observatory in the El Leoncito National Park in the province of San Juan in Argentina ( IAU code 808). It belongs to the Eunomia family, a group of asteroids named after (15) Eunomia .
designation
(2490) Bussolini was named after the solar physicist Juan A. Bussolini (1905–1966). He was director of the Observatorio de Fisica Cosmica de San Miguel , member of the commission of the International Year of the Calm Sun and an important sponsor of the Felix Aguilar Observatory.
