(2491) Tvashtri ( 1977 CB ) is an asteroid about three kilometers in size of the main inner belt that was discovered on February 15, 1977 by the American astronomer William Lawrence Sebok at the Palomar Observatory about 80 kilometers northeast of San Diego , California ( IAU code 675) was discovered.

(2491) Tvashtri was named after Tvashtri , who is the divine artist in the Vedic and is considered to be the creator of all living beings and the whole world.
