(29643) Plucker is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 15 November 1998 by the American Italo- astronomer Paul G. Comba at Prescott Observatory ( IAU code in 684) Arizona was discovered.

The asteroid was named after the German mathematician and physicist Julius Plücker (1801–1868), who dealt with the definition of lines and points ( Plücker matrix ) in mathematics and, as a physicist, discovered cathode radiation in 1858 .
