(35165) Québec is an asteroid of the main outer belt , which was discovered on August 16, 1993 by the Belgian astronomer Eric Walter Elst at the Schmidt telescope of the French Observatoire de Calern near Grasse ( IAU code 010).
The orbit of the asteroid around the sun is steeply inclined at more than 21 ° compared to the ecliptic of the solar system .
(35165) Québec was named after the Canadian city of Québec on June 13, 2006 .
