(37939) Hašler is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on April 16, 1998 by the Czech astronomer Lenka Šarounová at the Ondřejov observatory ( IAU code 557) near Prague .
The asteroid was named on January 6, 2003 after the Czech actor , singer , cabaret artist , writer , director and film producer Karel Hašler (1879-1941), who was popular with his audience for his patriotic songs and comedies.
