(4317) Garibaldi is an asteroid of the main belt , which was discovered on February 19, 1980 by the Czech astronomer Zdeňka Vávrová at the Kle Observ Observatory ( IAU code 046) near Český Krumlov in the Czech Republic .
The asteroid is named after the Italian national hero and freedom fighter Giuseppe Garibaldi (1807–1882).
