(5318) Dientzenhofer is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on April 21, 1985 by the Czech astronomer Antonín Mrkos at the Kleť Observatory ( IAU code 046) near the town of Český Krumlov in southern Bohemia .

The asteroid was named after the German builder of the Baroque Christoph Dientzenhofer (1655-1722) and his son Kilian Ignaz named (1689-1751), the one of the leading architects of the Bohemian count Baroque.
