(8305) Teika is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 22 February 1995 by the Japanese astronomer Takao Kobayashi at Oizumi Observatory ( IAU code 411) in Oizumi in the Japanese prefecture of Gunma was discovered.

The asteroid was named on September 28, 2004 after the Japanese poet Fujiwara no Sadaie (1162-1241), who is considered one of the most important poets in Japan and the greatest master of the lyric form of the waka .
