(9097) Davidschlag is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on January 14, 1996 by Erich Meyer , Erwin Obermair and Herbert Raab at the Davidschlag observatory near Linz in Austria .

The asteroid belongs to the Themis family, a group of asteroids named after (24) Themis .

The celestial body was named on August 8, 1998 after a district of the municipality of Kirchschlag bei Linz (approx. 15 km north of Linz), where it was discovered.
