The 1992/93 season of the 1st Slovenská národná hokejová liga (1st SNHL for short; German: 1st Slovak National Ice Hockey League) was the 24th and final staging of the second ice hockey division in Czechoslovakia . The champions of the league were AC Nitra , who qualified together with the teams in places two to six for the new first-class, purely Slovak division, the Extraliga . The teams placed behind were divided into the newly established second class 1. hokejová liga SR . Other new participants for the second division were ZVL Skalica , Slovan Levoča , Chirana Piešťany and ZVL Žilina .
The game AC Nitra - VTJ Topoľčany had to be abandoned during the second period due to an explosion. A repeat appointment was agreed, but ultimately did not materialize.
