The Roman emperors Flavius ​​Iulius Constans and Flavius ​​Iulius Constantius convene the Council of Serdica to settle the Arian dispute in the empire. The council fails, however, the deposed Bishop Athanasius the Great comes to Rome , where he is recognized as a regular bishop at a synod.
