- Publius Petronius Turpilianus becomes, together with Lucius Iunius Caesennius Paetus, full consul of the Roman Empire . The latter is sent to Cappadocia in the same year by Emperor Nero to protect Armenia as a legate and replaced by Lucius Velleius Paterculus as suffect consul .
