Map with all coordinates: The A935 road is an A-road in the Scottish Council Area Angus . It connects the cities of Brechin and Montrose to the trunk road network.
course
The road begins as a junction from the A90 ( Edinburgh - Fraserburgh ) west of Brechin. The B9134 coming from Forfar joins after around 1.5 km . The A935 runs through the center of Brechins and forms one of the main roads there. The A933 (Brechin– Arbroath ) joins in the southeast . Leaving Brechin in an easterly direction, it leads through the sparsely populated region between the two cities and only connects a few hamlets and individual farms to Montrose. Its course roughly follows the course of the South Esk . The Montrose Basin on the north shore passing the road reaches Montrose. There it bends south at a roundabout and joins the A92 ( Dunfermline - Stonehaven ) a few hundred meters later after a total distance of 16.1 km .
Surroundings
In Brechin there are numerous listed buildings along the road. This includes the no longer used West and St Columba's Parish Church . The neo-Gothic dates from 1856. The Gardner Memorial Church is another listed church building on the A935 in Brechin. Architecturally, the building, which was completed in 1900, combines various historicist styles. It was based on a design by the Scottish architect John James Burnet . Both church buildings are classified as monuments of the highest category A. A few kilometers before Montrose, the road passes the Category A mansion House of Dun .
