history

The company was founded on December 21, 2005 when the two largest public transport companies in Genoa , Tigullio Pubblici Trasporti SpA and Autolinee Liguri Provincia di Genova SpA (ALI), merged into one large company. Both companies operated mainly in the Ligurian capital and its province.

The Tigullio Pubblici Trasporti SpA was already previously been in the hands of the provincial government and had its transport routes mostly on Golfo Paradiso , in Tigullio and hinterland of Chiavari - here in the first place in Val Fontanabuona , Val Graveglia , Val Petronio , Valle Sturla and Val d'Aveto .

The ALI emerged in 2003 from AMT Extra , the large parent company AMT . The AMT Extra had been responsible for the extra-urban connections in the Greater Genoa.
