Abdallah Yahya Al-Mouallimi ( Arabic عبد الله المعلمي, DMG ʿAbd Allāh al-Muʿallimī ; Born May 5, 1952 in Al Qunfudhah ) is a Saudi diplomat .

Since June 23, 2011 he has been the permanent representative of the Saudi Arabian government next to the UN headquarters and the Saudi consul general in New York City .

In connection with the military intervention in Yemen since 2015 , the governments that formed an alliance behind Saudi Arabia have been ostracized for failing to comply with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child .

Ban Ki-moon refrained from this ostracism after allegedly massive threats, including obtaining a fatwa on the conduct of the United Nations, had been issued.

and added the Saudi Arabian clergy meeting should agree and issue a statement condemning the coalition's blacklist.

Mouallimi called the United Nations Periodical Review of subjects of international law and armed groups violating children's rights during war "exaggerated" and called for a correction.

Education

He's since 1973 Bachelor of Chemical Engineering of Oregon State University and since 1983 Master of Management of Stanford University . He studied public administration at several international universities, including Harvard University and Grenoble University, as well as universities and other institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Career

He grew up with his future father-in-law Yahya bin Abdullah al-Maalami, the deputy director of public security in Saudi Arabia and a member of the Academy of the Arabic Language (Cairo) .

From 1997 to 2001 he sat in the Saudi Shura .

From 2001 to 2005 he was appointed mayor of Jeddah by Fahd ibn Abd al-Aziz .

From March 26, 2008 to December 20, 2011, he was ambassador to Brussels and was simultaneously accredited to Luxembourg and the European Commission .

From 1973 to 1975 he was a chemical engineer in the Riyadh refinery, general foundation of petroleum and minerals. From 1975 to 1977 he was the deputy general manager for production at the Riyadh Refinery, General Establishment of Petroleum and Minerals. From 1977 to 1987 he was managing director of Aluminum Products Co. Ltd. From 1987 to 1988 he was Vice President of the Saudi Olayan Holding Company. From 1988 to 1991 he was Managing Director of the Saudi Olayan Holding Company. From 1991 to 1998 he was Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Olayan Finance Company and a board member of Saudi Telecom.

From 1995 to 1997 he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Financial Company in Cairo. He was director of the Majid Bin Abdulaziz Society for Development and Social Services of Sanad Insurance Company, the Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Saudi Arabia.
