Absidia was a hardcore punk group from Baden-Württemberg . It was assigned to the Stuttgart hardcore scene, but its members came from the nearer to further surrounding areas, from communities such as Aichwald , Bempflingen or Schramberg .
history
Absidia was founded in 1998, originally under the name Countless. The band made it to several releases, including a. at the Bremen hardcore record company Per Koro , including splits with two of Germany's leading metal core bands . In 2003 the band disbanded after guitarist Markus Fälchle left. Bassist Peter Bastian founded the hardcore punk band Teamkiller in 2003 with the sidekick drummer Fabian Kenner and others .
style
Locating themselves in the hardcore and punk scene, the group played a style of music that was heavily influenced by death metal and is also known as metalcore . Metalnews.de called the band a "metalcore trailblazer" and Daniel Dietelbach an "exceptional singer". Metal.de summed up the band's music as "razor-sharp riffing that cuts through meat like butter, hateful vocals and accomplished drumming somewhere between At the Gates and Amon Amarth " and rated, Absidia "(..) the majority of the current Melodic-Death -Publications easily in your pocket ".
