Achim Konejung (born March 14, 1957 in Krefeld ) is a German author , musician and cabaret artist . Konejung lives since 1994 in the Vettweißer district Müddersheim ( Düren ).

Career

He grew up in Siegen and Antwerp . His first cabaret solo, the Eddie Elend Show , premiered in Vienna in 1981 .

In the 1980s, Konejung lived in Hamburg and played there alongside solo programs, among others, alongside Horst Schroth and Michael Batz (for example in the nationwide touring " Census Revue "). He later became one of the founders of the legendary " Reichspolter" evening . For his “services to German humor” he was awarded the German Cabaret Prize in 1990 - together with Horst Schroth - and the German Cabaret Prize in 1997 .

Today Achim Konejung u. a. literary book reviews for WDR . He is also the chairman of the board of the Konejung Foundation: Culture , a non-profit cultural foundation that carries out projects in which culture and history are brought together in an exceptional setting.

On November 27, 2007 he presented his documentary film about the battle in the Hürtgenwald , in which he incorporated previously unpublished raw material from the USA.

In November 2010 the Konejung Foundation published the second part of the documentary from November 2007 with the title You enter Germany 2 . In this film, raw material from the US Signal Corps was shown, which was viewed for the creation of the first part.

Konejung has been on tour with cabaret artist Hubert vom Venn since 2014 .
