Adam Harrington

Adam Harrington (born July 5, 1980 in Bernardston , Massachusetts ) is an American former basketball player and current coach who played on the position of the guard. He is currently under contract in the NBA for the Brooklyn Nets as an assistant coach.

Adam played college basketball at Auburn University and North Carolina State University . In the 2002/03 season , Harrington played a total of 19 games in the NBA for the Dallas Mavericks and the Denver Nuggets . The Mavericks signed him on October 1, 2002 as a free agent , but released him some time later. On March 23, 2003 Adam was able to get a ten-day contract with the Nuggets, which was then extended on April 2 until the end of the current season.

In the 2006/07 season Adam played in the basketball league for Brose Baskets . For the team from Bamberg he scored an average of 7.1 points in 11 BBL games.

Harrington also worked for Shansi Dongshen Kylins in China , Columbus Riverdragons ( NBDL ), Bnei Hasharon in Israel , CB Gran Canaria in Spain and KK Cedevita Zagreb in Croatia. He is considered a sure shooter from the field and from the free throw line. He then played alternately in the D-League and in France at Limoges CSP. After another year at Kotwica Kołobrzeg in Poland, he ended his active career in 2010.

Harrington is engaged. As part of the 2008 NBA All-Star Weekend program , Harrington won the NBA D-League three-point throwing competition . Adam Harrington had a guest appearance on the 2010 album The Evolution of Chaos by the thrash metal band Heathen , where he recorded the spoken words in the song A Hero's Welcome .
