Adam Liebermann von Beust

Adam Liebermann von Beust (* December 24, 1654 in Wildstein ; † February 17, 1707 in Zeitz ) was a privy councilor , chamber councilor and from 1693 to 1706 initially official governor , from 1700 supervisor of the Henneberg offices in Schleusingen , Suhl , Kühndorf and Benshausen . He was the successor of the late governor Otto Zastro .

origin

He comes from the Altmark noble family von Beust . His parents were Joachim Friedrich von Beust (April 11, 1615 - December 14, 1680), heir to Planitz, and his wife Eleonora Sabine, née von Trauttenberg (April 16, 1630 - May 24, 1701).

Life

He was trained at home and went to high school in Bayreuth in 1669. After graduating, he went to Leipzig University from 1672 to study law there. In 1678 he moved to Geneva to study there for two more years. He then did his Grand Tour which took him to France, Brabant, Flanders, Holland and England. He then became a chamberlain to the Margrave of Bayreuth, whom he accompanied on a campaign against the Turks and in the relief of Vienna . He was then appointed court master by Johann Georg von Sachsen-Eisenach . He accompanied Christian August and Friedrich Heinrich von Sachsen-Zeitz to Brussels and accompanied them on trips and campaigns for several years. 1691 make Christian August a councilor.

In 1694, Duke Moritz Wilhelm von Sachsen-Zeitz appointed him administrator of the Nauenburg monastery, the real secret council, governor of Schleusingen . Also in 1697 as President of the Chamber. Since the title of official governor was no longer felt to be up-to-date, on October 4, 1700, at the behest of Duke Moritz Wilhelm, the new title of Oberaufseher der Hennebergische Lande was awarded. In May 1706 Beust resigned from office and moved to the royal seat of Zeitz , where he died a few months later.

In 1693 he married Hippolyta Eleonore von Römer († 1717) from the house of Groß-Sedlitz. The couple had three sons and one daughter, including:
