Adelio Dell'Oro (born July 31, 1948 in Milan , Italy ) is Bishop of Karaganda .

Life

Adelio Dell'Oro entered the boys' seminary of the Archdiocese of Milan in 1959 and the seminary in 1967 . He received on 28 June 1972, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

In addition to various tasks in pastoral care, he worked as a religion teacher at various schools from 1974 to 1997. In 1997 he went to Kazakhstan as a Fidei donum priest . Among other things, he was spiritual at the interdiocesan seminary in Karaganda and director of Caritas Kazakhstan . From 2007 to 2009 he was pastor in the Archdiocese of Astana and employee of the Apostolic Nunciature in Kazakhstan. From 2010 to 2012 he was back in Italy, where, among other things, he was assistant to the Comunione e Liberazione movement in the Archdiocese of Milan.

On December 7, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . the titular bishop of Castulo and ordered him to apostolic administrator of Atyrau . The Archbishop of Milan , Angelo Cardinal Scola , donated him episcopal ordination on March 2, 2013 ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Milan, Dionigi Cardinal Tettamanzi , the Archbishop of Astana, Tomasz Peta , and the Apostolic Nuncio in Kazakhstan , Archbishop Miguel Maury Buendía .

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Karaganda on January 31, 2015 . He retained the office of administrator of Atyrau until Dariusz Buras was appointed as the new administrator.
