The Adler (Czech Orlice ) is a left tributary of the Elbe in the Czech Republic . It is the second largest river in Eastern Bohemia. Its length is 32.7 kilometers from the confluence of the Wilder Adler (98.2 km long) and Stiller Adler (104.5 km long) south of Albrechtice nad Orlicí to the confluence with the Elbe in Hradec Králové .
Catchment area
The total catchment area is 2036.2 km², of which 1959.1 km² belong to the Czech Republic , the rest to Poland.
The Wild Eagle ( Divoká Orlice ) forms the right source river and carries its water from the Eagle Mountains and the Habelschwerdter Mountains to the north . The catchment area of the left source river, the Silent Eagle ( Tichá Orlice ), has a size of 755 km² and consists of the western part of the Hannsdorfer Uplands ( Hanušovická vrchovina ), the Eagle Mountains foothills ( Podorlická pahorkatina ) and the Chotzener Tafel ( Choceňská tabule ).
The Adler is one of the least polluted rivers in the Czech Republic and, together with its many oxbow lakes, forms an important part of the Orlice Nature Park , which also includes numerous protected areas and nature reserves.

The course of the river runs to the west, along it are the towns of Týniště nad Orlicí , Petrovice, Štěnkov , Třebechovice pod Orebem , Nepasice , Blešno and Svinary .
Tributaries
The Adler's tributaries are on the right bank of the Dědina , on the left bank there are only streams.
