The municipality Albrechtice nad Orlicí (German Albrechtsdorf an der Adler ) is located in the Czech Republic at the confluence of the Silent ( Tichá Orlice ) and the Wild Eagle ( Divoká Orlice ).
history
The first news about the village comes from the unproven stories of the chronicler Dalimil . In it he describes the battle of the knight Mutin von Skuhrov with the Germans von Albrechtsdorf in 1279. Albrechtsdorf has belonged to the crown of Bohemia since ancient times and was elevated to a town during the reign of Charles IV . The wooden fortress served as the seat of the administrators of the royal forests. Karl's brother, Margrave Prokop, handed over the rule of Albrechtsdorf to his follower Johann Kruschina von Lichtenburg in 1402 , who confirmed this to King Wenzel IV in 1403 as a lifelong possession. After Johann Kruschina's death, Albrechtsdorf fell to Queen Sophie , whose marriage property it is said to have belonged to. Since Johann Kruschina's sons Hynek , Alexander († after 1422) and Johann († 1434) did not want to come to terms with the loss of Albrechtsdorf, a long-term dispute over the property flared up, which also resulted in armed conflicts. It was not until 1414 that the parties involved agreed an armistice. They also undertook to accept an arbitration award by an elected person they trusted ( Ubrman ). Hynek Kruschina was represented by the castle count Čeněk von Wartenberg , the royal couple by Bishop Konrad von Vechta . Since Queen Sophie kept the Albrechtsdorf estate, it can be assumed that the Lichtenburgers lost the dispute. The award itself has not been passed down.
During the Hussite Wars , the castle and church of Albrechtsdorf were burned down. In 1495 Wilhelm II von Pernstein took over the place. Around this time the place lost the status of a city. With the establishment of the agricultural insurance company in 1900, the importance of the village increased and the population tripled.
In the years 1950–1961 Albrechtice belonged to Okres Holice and then to Okres Rychnov nad Kněžnou . In 1981 Albrechtice was incorporated into Týniště . Since 1991 it has been an independent municipality again.
