Chlístov (German Chlistau ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located four kilometers southeast of Nové Město nad Metují in the foothills of the Eagle Mountains and belongs to the Okres Rychnov nad Kněžnou .
geography
Chlístov lies on a ridge above the valley of the Janovský creek.
Neighboring towns are Zákraví in the northeast, Ohnišov in the east, Val in the southeast, Křovice in the south, Březiny and Běstviny in the west and Spy in the northwest.
history
The first written mention of the village took place as Lískov in 1760. After the replacement of patrimonial in 1848, Chlístov became a district of Spy. In 1872 Chlístov became an independent municipality. In 1904 the volunteer fire brigade was founded.
In 1960 it was incorporated into Val . Since 1991 Chlístov has been an independent municipality again.
