Polom is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located eleven kilometers northwest of Ústí nad Orlicí and belongs to the Okres Rychnov nad Kněžnou .

Polom lies between the valleys of the Wilde Adler and Brodec rivers on the Choceňské tabule .
Neighboring towns are Potštejn in the north, Brná in the northeast, Sopotnice in the east, Hájek and Malá Skrovnice in the south, Sudslava in the southwest, Lhoty u Potštejna in the west and Nové Litice and Proruby in the northwest.
